After an entire career of being a vocal "gun for hire" for other clients, I finally faced my fears, saved my pennies, and finished "Chasing the Muse," a collection of some of the pile of partially written songs I have amassed over years of being a struggling songwriter. I do much better
in collaboration, so some of these tracks are finished with the creative prodding, producing or arranging of 2 musical friends, Josh Ford and James Murphy. I am forever grateful for their aid and support while
I chase my muse.
The styles are all over the place, which is true to my vocal style as well. There's some Bluesy R & B, Pop Americana, Countryesque, and a Contemporary Christian piece that I wrote and arranged circa 2000.
The oldest piece on the CD is one written around 1982 but never had
an instrumental recorded yet.
